Some Characteristics of Navy SEALs

Navy SEALs are regarded as super humans. Their attributes, especially the physical ones, are known to be a lot stronger than just ordinary and regular citizens. Of course there is a value behind this uniqueness and distinction in them. Their responsibility to the country is really heavy.  That is why they need to possess the necessary attributes that will enable them to fulfil this heavy responsibility. Although they make use of vehicles and weapons in combat, it is also necessary for them to have the strength necessary for emergency situations. Also, some of the operations require unique strength in terms of handling weapons and vehicles.

From the very start, the navy SEALs already have to have the characteristics that fit the characteristics of protectors of a country. They have to show strength and skills from the selection process to the point where they are assigned to different missions. They constantly have to prove their capabilities in handling difficult situations, especially those that involve national security. Again, the responsibility of these individuals is a heavy one. They are supposed to protect the country from harmful actors that threaten their territories, especially the seas, which are also sources of livelihood of some people. The state has a responsibility to protect its territory from intruders and invaders that seek to exploit these areas illegitimately. The state uses the Navy SEALs in fulfilling that responsibility. They call on individuals to serve as protectors of the country in terms of its water territories. Since engaging in warfare inherently involves physical strength and skills, they always work hard in order to improve these things to their optimal extents.

But apart from possessing physical strength and skills and knowing how to fight, they also need to have technical and tactical proficiency. This is where they are made to undergo certain tests in order to measure their tactical capabilities. Warfare involves so many strategies and options. It is important for anyone involved in warfare to know the different techniques and strategies they can employ in order to win a battle. Everyone knows it is not just about going out there and fighting as much as you can. It is also about planning things out in order to overcome the enemy in the most efficient way possible. They have a lot of factors to consider such as not losing so many men, not losing so many ships or necessary equipment, and other things. All these things have to be taken into consideration in order to come up with the right and perfect strategy.

The Heavy Duty of Navy SEALs

The kind of training that Navy SEALs undergo almost everyday is no walk in the park. Even applicants have to cross a very high threshold before they can even become a part of the Navy SEALs. The rationale behind this is that one has to possess an amazing set of attributes in order to perform and fulfil the function of Navy SEALs properly.

If you try to look at the responsibility imposed on Navy SEALs, you would see that it is really tough. That is why people who want to become a part of this defending organization of the nation also have to go through tough situations in order to measure their endurance in this kind of arena. Basically, it is all about protecting the country. It is just that in this case, they protect the water territories of the nation. Wars are not possible only on land. Sea warfare is also possible considering that a lot of countries are separated by bodies of water. It is possible for one country to attack another country via sea combat. That is what Navy SEALs are here for. They guard the water territories of the nation so that no harmful state or actor will be able to exploit these areas or make use of these areas as starting battle points. As a state, it has a responsibility to protect its territorial domain including the seas. The Navy SEALs perfectly reflect that state responsibility. The state trains them in order for them to become good defenders and protectors of the country from possible sea attacks.

The very first requirement to being a part of this organization is high-level physical strength. As defenders of the nation, they are expected to be physically strong. Imagine a country with physically weak forces. The security would obviously be at risk under that kind of scenario. Having defenders who are physically strong and are able to ward off any attack is something that the state should ensure to protect the security of the nation. Just because they are using vehicles and weapons for sea warfare does not mean that physical force is no longer necessary. Some operations require brute force specifically in terms of handling vehicles and weapons. Also, during difficult situations, when ships get destroyed for instance, they need to be able to survive by possessing the necessary strength to continue battle. Swimming for instance, is usually their resort when things go wrong. They need a high level of strength to swim the seas and continue fighting for the country.
